Description
This elegant tart perfectly balances the nutty, salty crunch of toasted pistachios with a silky, decadent dark chocolate ganache. Using a pistachio-based crust and a Greek yogurt-infused filling, this dessert offers a rich experience that is surprisingly light. It is an ideal make-ahead centerpiece for dinner parties that requires minimal effort for a high-end, restaurant-quality result.
Ingredients
8 oz Shelled Pistachios (roasted, unsalted)
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp Fine sea salt
12 oz Semisweet Chocolate (roughly chopped)
1 1/8 cup Greek Yogurt (full fat)
2 tsp Honey (for garnish)
Instructions
Process the roasted pistachios in a food processor until they form fine, uniform crumbs.
Combine the ground pistachios, melted butter, granulated sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Press the nut mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
Bake the crust at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 12 minutes until fragrant and slightly darkened.
Cool the crust completely on a wire rack before adding the filling.
Melt the chopped semisweet chocolate using a double boiler or short intervals in the microwave until smooth.
Whisk the Greek yogurt into the warm chocolate until the mixture is glossy and fully incorporated.
Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled pistachio shell and smooth the surface.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Ensure the crust is fully cooled before filling to maintain its crunch. Serve with a light drizzle of honey for an extra touch of sophistication. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
